As an Enterprise Storage Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting mission-critical infrastructure for federal government customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, security, and scalability of enterprise data platforms that directly enable operational readiness and mission success.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise storage solutions across SAN and NAS environments, with a focus on Net App ONTAP systems
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated, secure, and compliant storage solutions supporting mission systems
• Drive modernization, performance optimization, and rapid resolution of complex storage challenges, including incident response, root cause analysis, and lifecycle management
• Utilize Net App ONTAP, SAN/NAS technologies, NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, Snap Mirror/Snap Vault, and automation tools to support high-performing and resilient storage environments

The Enterprise Storage Engineer must have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience: 8+ years of related experience, with 5+ years focused on Net App ONTAP environments
• Technical skills: Net App storage administration, SAN/NAS architecture, data replication, performance tuning, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, data protection, capacity planning, and familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud storage integrations
• Certifications: Net App Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent (preferred)
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: Ability to work onsite, lead storage architecture initiatives, support ATO and compliance activities (POA&M, audits), perform lifecycle management (patching/upgrades), ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness, and mentor junior engineers.

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
