Job Description Summary

This position is for the Engineering Project Fulfillment Leader (PFL) role which is responsible for managing engineering project launches for a seamless execution in a consistent, timely, and high-quality manner. This consists of managing project kick-off meetings and project communications, validation of commitment dates, coordination with Engineering, Sourcing and Logistics, as well as the technical coordination between teams during project start-up and execution.
The PFL of the Project Launch Engineering Team is a part of the Solutioning and Execution CoE within the Proposal and Project Engineering (PPE) organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participates Engineering Risk Reviews and challenges inconsistencies prior to transfer to execution teams
  • Facilitates the transfer of technical requirements to engineering teams during the project launch phase
  • Ensures engineering schedule creation is tailored to project specific requirements
  • Conducts project deliverable oversight
  • Execute assigned engineering tasks during the project launch phase
  • Helps to populate the project accessories’ bill of materials
  • Manages project execution for accessories which includes ensuring Combined Cycle Plant Engineering meets all requirements and timelines of the project, facilitates changes, ensures accessories work is completed within hours allocated by Project Engineering
  • Removes impediments for project team to execute smoothly
  • Manages and mitigates execution risks related to accessories systems by working with project team and design engineering.
  • Supports Engineers to obtain inputs to meet customer need/contract required dates for drawings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other equivalent degree in technology
  • 6+ years of relevant technical experience
  • Basic knowledge on power plant components and its functioning
  • Demonstrated technical, leadership, and/or project managements skills
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English
  • Ability to work in teams and achieve targets with seamless communication

Desired Characteristics

  • Expertise in Gas turbine / Steam Turbine/ Turbine Generator or oil and gas or plant accessories and auxiliary systems knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively present information to project and functional management and to customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrix environment while managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-starter, clear thinker, capable of identifying solutions to problems and driving them to prompt resolution
  • Customer focused and Global mindset
  • Actively seek and embrace change
