Associate – On Site Services

GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Associate – On Site Services to join our Field Services team based in Oslo, Norway.

Role Overview

The Associate will work on installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our high‑voltage switchgear throughout the Nordic region.

Your Impact

• Delivering high‑quality installation and commissioning of GEV high‑voltage equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation for customers across the region.
• Performing thorough inspections before delivery, during storage, and after installation to secure equipment integrity and prevent avoidable failures.
• Maximising uptime for customers by completing planned maintenance and upgrades on high‑voltage switchgear with precision and efficiency.
• Restoring operations quickly by diagnosing issues and carrying out effective repairs when equipment failures occur.
• Strengthening major project delivery by supporting GE supervisors on large‑scale installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintaining smooth onsite operations through accurate inventory control and coordinated movement of materials.
• Representing GEV professionally across the Nordic and Northern European regions while ensuring service vehicle and tools are always well‑maintained and ready for deployment.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

The ideal candidate is a skilled high‑voltage technician with the technical qualifications, mobility, and customer focus needed to deliver safe, reliable, and high‑quality service across the Nordic region who:

• Has a background in Electrical and Mechanical technical work.
• Holds an Energy Technician apprenticeship, technical college qualification, or relevant experience working with high‑voltage installations.
• Confident travelling extensively (up to 80%) and comfortable working independently across diverse customer sites.
• Fluent in either Norwegian or Swedish and English, enabling effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Experienced in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high‑voltage switchgear, with full certifications for HV work.
• Demonstrates strong decision‑making ability, adherence to procedures, and a commitment to building long‑term customer relationships.
