An exciting opportunity awaits you as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting current and future equipment for Manufacturing HVDC Products. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the efficient execution of complex electronic assembly, support, and maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment. This position demands technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication to maintain high-quality standards and contribute to the company's long-term success.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Change Implementation: Implement changes for equipment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Process Maintenance: Maintain and upgrade processes and equipment, including variant changes.
- Timely Implementation: Implement and support equipment promptly to enable manufacturing operations.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work within a team environment to resolve issues and meet manufacturing goals and milestones.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the calibration and maintenance of equipment, acting as the first engineering responder for breakdowns.
- Operator Training: Provide training and support to production operators for effective equipment usage.
- Supplier Collaboration: Engage with equipment suppliers directly to address issues and implement improvements.
- IT Systems Maintenance: Maintain and Manufacturing and business IT systems.
- Documentation Management: Update and create work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives for processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Shift hours support: Support Manufacturing during shift pattern hours as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of manufacturing production
- HVDC Product assembly: Familiarity with HVDC product assembly processes is advantageous.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to interact with others, share knowledge, and work effectively within a team.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing production environment supporting and maintaining production assembly equipment.(HVDC / Power electronics equipment's or similar )
- Additional Skills: Understanding of IT requirements for manufacturing system integration, Desoutter tooling, knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, and familiarity with ISO standards are beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10 - 12 years of significant experience in a manufacturing production engineering environment with knowledge of automated assembly equipment.
- Education: Engineering Degree in an electrical/electronic-related discipline.

- Proactive Approach: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a focus on problem-solving and root cause identification.
- Deadline-Oriented: Ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, written and verbal; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
- ISO Compliance: Fully conversant with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, and preferably ISO 18001 standards.
- Manufacturing Systems: Experienced in SAP and Lean Manufacturing.
- To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years' experience required for any role based within the USA. For roles outside of the USA, to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, the JDs should focus on the substantive level of experience required for the role and a minimum number of years should NOT be used.
