FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

LiveNOW from FOX, the national live streaming news channel powered by FOX TV Stations, is looking for a Vice President to join the team. LiveNOW brings viewers the most relevant and engaging live news coverage occurring right now across the country and the world. As the Vice President of LiveNOW, you are a versatile leader who can balance editorial excellence, operational vigor, technical fluency and team leadership. In this role you will not only set the direction for the team, but you will also roll up your sleeves to ensure that LiveNOW exceeds viewer expectations every day!

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership, Operations, and Strategic Planning

• Lead all daily and ongoing operations of LiveNOW, ensuring consistent, high-quality live news coverage for a 24/7 news operation

• Build, lead and mentor a passionate, high-performing team that includes editorial, production and operations

• Foster a culture of innovation, empowerment and collaboration, while ensuring the entire team stays accountable to viewer expectations and standards to support continuous growth

• Manage team workflows and schedules to ensure non-stop live coverage around the clock

• Partner with the SVP, Digital Content & LiveNOW to translate strategic vision into executable plans and measurable outcomes

• Manage budgets and resources responsibly, aligning investments with operational priorities and growth goals

Editorial & Brand Oversight

• Uphold and evolve LiveNOW’s brand promise to viewers: Always raw, live and unfiltered, with limited commentary and no opinion

• Ensure superior news judgment, editorial standards, and real-time decision-making during breaking news and major events

• Coach and develop digital journalists and producers to it as easy as possible for viewers to watch live with us

• Collaborate closely with owned-and-operated stations and FOX partners to leverage local resources and other relevant live content

Technical Innovation

• Maintain deep understanding of the technical requirements of live streaming news, including production workflows, live video publishing, and distribution platforms

• Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure LiveNOW’s tools, infrastructure, and workflows support scale, reliability, and innovation

• Collaborate with marketing, distribution, and partnerships teams to optimize platform presence and viewer experience across all partners

Audience Growth & Optimization

• Own audience growth, engagement, and performance optimization in alignment with broader digital objectives.

• Monitor analytics and performance data, translating insights into actionable improvements across content, programming, and operations.

• Lead internal communications to highlight information for daily/weekly/monthly TVT, successes, and growth opportunities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 7–10+ years of leadership experience in news, digital media, or live content environments

• Proven success managing large, diverse teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven operations

• Strong editorial judgment with deep a understanding of live and breaking news coverage

• Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across content, operations, and technology

• Deep knowledge of digital video production, live streaming workflows, and publishing platforms

• Exceptional leadership abilities and decision-making skills

• Superior communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills

• Experience leading national or large-scale streaming news products

• Background working with distributed or remote teams across multiple locations

• Demonstrated track record of growing digital audiences and optimizing performance through data

• Previous budgeting experience and strong attention to detail

• Ability to work varied hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays—depending on breaking news and live coverage needs

• BA/BS degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $200,000.00-225,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
