Software Development Engineering – Advisor II

TITLE: Software Development Engineering – Advisor II

EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC

LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. subject to authorization from management)

DUTIES: Provide guidance and inputs for medium size projects or multiple small sized projects and develop solutions to address a variety of business problems. Design both high-level and low-level structures, transforming monolithic architecture into microservices. Lead design discussions and gain consensus from stakeholders to deliver features and capabilities. Improve scalability, availability, reliability, and maturity of the Merchant Boarding Platform. Collaborate closely with enterprise and application architects and cross-functional teams to comprehend the business domain, stay informed about technology directions and changes, and adhere to coding standards and best practices. Perform debugging, troubleshooting and code reviews of existing software applications, optimizing code performance by implementing efficient algorithms and best industry practices.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving Java-based server programming experience. Prior experience must include 4 years in the following: working with MySQL, JDBC, Hibernate, and JPA Spring Framework; working with SOAP and REST web services; working in Linux and UNIX environments; working with GIT version control; working with TLS cryptography; designing and developing applications using Micro services architecture framework; and developing software in Cloud platforms.
