The Opportunity
Our market-leading Actuarial Team is looking for experienced Actuaries (Senior Consultant or Manager level) with life insurance experience to address the growing demand of insurance companies.
Join our team and you will provide clients with traditional actuarial services (e.g., reserving, pricing and mergers and acquisition support), as well as cutting-edge services by leveraging on advanced statistical modeling techniques and technologies such as predictive analytics and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
Support insurance companies in a wide range of topics such as:
- Designing future-proof life insurance products, including the development of pricing strategies and methodologies
- Performing valuation of life insurance liabilities, using a wide range of actuarial software (e.g. Prophet, Python, etc.)
- Supporting risk management teams in conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and advising on risk matters such as risk-appetite, ORSA, or climate risk stress-testing
- Assisting insurance companies in further optimizing their IFRS17 processes and enhancing their reporting to provide valuable insights to investors and stakeholders
- Performing detailed ALM studies and generating comprehensive reports on market and liquidity risk
- Developing and optimising capital models in terms of process, methodology and tooling (Solvency II)
- Supporting the fulfilment of the role of the actuarial function for (life) insurance companies
- Providing support to our Transactions team on actuarial aspects during due-diligences on life portfolio’s
- Developing interactive dashboards for benchmarking or reporting purposes (using tools like PowerBI)
Skills and Attributes for Success
- A master degree in actuarial sciences
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience, working in a life actuarial-oriented position within an insurance company or a consultancy firm
- A solid knowledge in at least 2 of the following topics: life product development and pricing, life reserving techniques, risk management, Solvency II or IFRS17.
- A strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in Dutch and/or French and proficient level of business English
- A global mindset and the drive to work in international teams
