You will provide strategic legal advice, contribute to regulatory implementation projects, and collaborate with financial institutions' compliance and legal teams. Your work will cover key regulatory topics such as: Financial Crime (AML, Sanctions, Market Abuse, Fraud) Banking & Capital Markets Payment Services (FinTech, PSD3, digital finance) Asset Management MiFID Insurance (IDD incl. Value for Money, DORA, FiDA) Compliance & Governance (Fit & Proper, Board effectiveness) Data Protection, Privacy & Emerging Technologies Sustainable Finance & ESG Compliance Corporate Law You’ll be at the forefront of regulatory change, working in multidisciplinary teams across Belgium and EMEIA. Who You Will Be Working With You will join a larger cross-disciplinary team of legal and regulatory professionals who offer support to the Financial Services Industry, including banking, asset management, insurance, and payment services You will , in the context of broader projects, collaborate with experts across the different areas of the Financial Services Industry value chain , such as risk management specialists, strategy consultants … You will collaborate with top-tier financial institutions (both on an ad-hoc basis as on a loaning of staff basis) You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support more junior team members Skills and attributes for success EY Legal & Regulatory is looking for ambitious and talented legal and regulatory (senior) consultants who accumulated a few years of relevant experience and are eager to (further) specialize in financial regulatory topics. Belgian Master’s degree in Law 2 – 5 years of professional experience in a law firm, consultancy, public body or financial institution Strong knowledge of financial regulations (or a strong desire to learn).
