Position: Graphics Designer – Associate

Education: Any Graduate

Experience: 1 – 4 years of relevant experience

The Opportunity

This position will support the design and development of visual content for e Learning modules and other digital learning materials. The Graphics Designer will learn to apply design quality standards and processes, using approved templates and tools, while collaborating with other designers and learning professionals to enhance the quality and effectiveness of visual learning solutions. Additionally, the designer will develop and maintain strong relationships with content owners, Subject Matter Reviewers (SMRs), and the project team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop basic to intermediate proficiency in creating and editing self-study programs using rapid authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, under guidance.

  • Learn and apply foundational e Learning tool skills, contributing to team knowledge.

  • Acquire basic to intermediate proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design, capable of creating good graphics and layouts.

  • Assist with LMS content management, learning platform features and best practices.

  • Support the design of interactive graphics and animations, developing basic interactive elements under supervision.

  • Assist in the creation of simple animations and video edits, supporting video production tasks and learning from experienced team members.

  • Develop basic visual assets such as icons and simple graphics, adapting to EY's visual style under supervision.

  • Understand and apply basic typography and layout principles to create clear and visually appealing designs, assisting with layout adjustments and font selection.

  • Assist in the creation of accessible design elements, learning about accessibility features and guidelines under guidance.

  • Understand the basics of gamification and how it can enhance e Learning experiences, assisting in the creation of simple gamified elements.

  • Learn the principles of visual storytelling and apply them to create simple narrative graphics, assisting with the development of storyboards and visual concepts.

  • Assist in the application of design principles, seeking feedback to improve and enhance project outcomes.

  • Develop effective communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate with team members, learning to communicate design choices clearly.

  • Assist with the creation of visual elements from storyboards, learning to interpret storyboards and translate them into basic visual layouts.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on design elements for consistency and functionality, continuously improving quality checks and identifying inconsistencies.

  • Learn and apply EY's branding guidelines to design projects, assisting with the application of brand guidelines under supervision.

  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative design efforts, assisting with design tasks and learning to communicate effectively within the team.

  • Develop the ability to adapt to new design requests and changes in project scope, embracing learning opportunities and remaining open to feedback.

  • Communicate with SMRs and project teams to understand their design needs, increasing responsibilities and effective communication within the team.

  • Seek opportunities for growth and actively learn from senior team members, developing leadership skills by taking on small responsibilities and seeking mentorship.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in graphic design or related fields.

  • Basic proficiency with graphic design software and e Learning development tools.

  • A foundational understanding of LMS platforms and content management.

  • A desire to learn and grow within the field of graphic design and e Learning development.
