Exxon Mobil’s affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region.

Exxon Mobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

Exxon Mobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other Exxon Mobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.

What role you will play in team

Your role in the Tax Compliance team, comprising 3-4 members, will handle Income Tax, transfer pricing and GST compliance/reporting matters, tax related audits etc for the India affiliates.

What you will do

• Coordinate, prepare and ensure timely filing of Corporate income tax returns, transfer pricing returns, GST Returns, tax claims, & tax forms by collating data from ERP and other functions

• Support preparation and review annual transfer pricing documentation

• To ensure timely payment of taxes including GST, advance tax

• Prepare workings and supporting documents for application of GST refund and other tax incentives

• Update existing and apply new GST registrations as per business requirements

• Support preparation of submission with tax authorities and ensure timely submission of required details

• Monitor direct tax and indirect tax regulatory changes and assist to implement required system and process changes as appropriate

• Assist in tax related accounting and reconciliation

• Interface and work with external consultants for status of filings and refunds

• Implement process improvements to capture efficiencies and corporate value.

About you

• Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

• Minimum 2 years experience post CA qualification.

• Minimum 1 year working experience in corporate income tax reporting/compliance

• Strong knowledge of GST compliances

• Knowledge of India tax standards and practices, relevant laws and regulations

• Experience working in large accounting and auditing professional firms is preferred

• Experience with SAP and Enterprise Resource Planning is preferred

• Good knowledge of Microsoft office application such as Excel, PowerPoint

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
