About the Opportunity

Ericsson Silicon is at the core of shaping the next generation of world-leading 5G and 6G radio and compute platforms. To maintain and extend our technology leadership, we rely on a competitive and innovative Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor IP ecosystem.

We are now strengthening our strategic sourcing capabilities to secure the right tools, IP blocks, commercial models, and long term partnerships needed for Ericsson Silicon’s digital ASIC and FPGA development. This role is central to ensuring we have the technology, cost structures, scalability, and supplier collaborations required to deliver on Ericsson’s ambitions to continue driving technology leadership in our products as well as our internally developed Silicon.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy for EDA tools, semiconductor IP, verification solutions, and advanced design capabilities - enabling our engineers to innovate faster and more efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Shape Ericsson’s EDA & IP strategy, enabling future Silicon architectures and design methodologies.
• Lead vendor activities for global partnerships with industry leading EDA and IP suppliers (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA, Ansys, and Keysight).
• Drive commercial models and be part of contract negotiations, ensuring best in class TCO, flexibility, and scalability for Ericsson’s silicon roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with design, verification, CAD, and architecture teams to align sourcing with technology needs, including AI enabled flows and advanced methodologies.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, roadmaps, and technical fit, ensuring Ericsson retains competitive advantage through cutting edge design and verification tools.
• Support IP acquisition strategies including digital accelerators, DSP, security, and system infrastructure blocks.
• Drive supplier performance management, innovation engagements, and partnership development.
• Contribute to long term migration, consolidation, and competitiveness programs across multiple technical domains.

Skills you bring

• Have long (15+ years), strong, and documented experience in sourcing, procurement, and strategic partnerships within semiconductor, EDA, and Semiconductor IP areas.
• You are well versed in the EDA area with a big contact network within the industry.
• Understand ASIC/SoC design flows, verification, CAD ecosystems, and semiconductor supply chain fundamentals.
• You are analytical, structured, and comfortable navigating complex technical and commercial landscapes.
• Enjoy working across organizational boundaries with technical leaders, architects, sourcing, and engineering teams at a global scale.
• Have strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Are motivated by enabling innovation, efficiency, and long term competitiveness in a fast evolving technology domain.
