Business Systems Analysts are responsible for evaluating organizations’ business processes and systems. They collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and create detailed documentation outlining system specifications. Business systems analysts also play a crucial role in facilitating communication between business users and IT teams to ensure that technology solutions align with organizational goals. Additionally, they may participate in testing, training, and provide support for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of business systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather and document business requirements for software development projects.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into clear and concise user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineers to review story requirements and validate system functionality.
  • Provide support by troubleshooting issues, conducting impact analysis, and recommending solutions
  • Review system enhancements with project stakeholders
  • Create flow diagrams and document technical solutions
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business analysis and Agile methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent technology industry background.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather, analyze and interpret complex data and business requirements. Adept at identifying and solving business problems through innovative and practical solutions.

  • Effective communication with stakeholders to understand and convey technical information in a clear manner

  • Proficient in collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements from stakeholders

  • Understanding of technology (complex multi-platform applications including databases) and systems to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions

  • Effective communication and documentation skills to create comprehensive reports, manuals, workflows, and specifications

  • Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery

  • Being flexible and adaptable to changes in project scope, requirements, or technological advancements

  • Proven experience in Agile Methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Share point.

  • Experience with Agile principles preferred

  • Prior production support and troubleshooting preferred

  • Experience as a QA or Developer preferred
