Job Summary

The MEA FCEC Order Management Team Leader is based in Chennai and leads the Chennai-based Order Management organization providing centralized support for Dubai & Spark execution across the MEA region. The role provides leadership and governance across Order Administration, Order Engineering, QP&S, and Change Order Management functions ensuring effective end-to-end FCV order execution aligned with MEA operational requirements.

The role is fully responsible and accountable for the compliant, accurate, and timely execution of Emerson orders supporting the MEA region, ensuring alignment with regional requirements, global standards, financial objectives, and customer expectations. The leader serves as the key integration point between the Chennai support teams and the Dubai & Spark execution organization, ensuring seamless coordination and consistent customer satisfaction across the MEA region.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Key Responsibilities:

Organization Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and manage multi-functional teams based in Chennai supporting MEA (Dubai & Spark) execution.

  • Set clear performance objectives, establish accountability frameworks, and drive high performance standards.

  • Coach, develop, and build organizational capability across Order Administration, Engineering, QP&S, and Change Order Management.

  • Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and competency development aligned with business needs.

Operational Oversight & Governance

  • Provide leadership oversight for end-to-end order execution support delivered from Chennai to Dubai & Spark.

  • Ensure standardized processes, governance discipline, and adherence to global and regional procedures.

  • Monitor and drive key KPIs including on-time delivery, backlog health, order & detailing accuracy, and change management effectiveness.

  • Act as the primary escalation point between Chennai support teams and Dubai & Spark execution stakeholders.

Technical & Compliance Leadership

  • Ensure robust technical governance and documentation control aligned with customer specifications and contractual requirements.

  • Maintain oversight of trade compliance, export controls, commercial risk management, and regulatory adherence.

  • Safeguard financial integrity related to invoicing accuracy, discrepancy reduction, and revenue realization.

Cross-Regional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner closely with the Dubai & Spark counterpart functions across Order Administration, Order Engineering, QP&S, and Quick Ship to ensure strong alignment, seamless coordination, and execution excellence between Chennai support teams and Dubai & Spark operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardize processes, reduce cycle time, and improve overall order quality and customer satisfaction across the MEA region.

  • Represent the Chennai Order Management organization in regional discussion to drive best practice adoption.

Basic Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.

Experience in highly mechanical / design / technology focused role.

  • 10+ years’ Overall experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in control valves (sales, project management, manufacturing & Order Entry)
  • 3+ years’ experience in Management / Leadership role/position
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong management, organizational, planning, analysis and decision-making skills
  • Relevant process automation/control industry business knowledge
  • Customer oriented and passionate in serving internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Excellent command on Spoken & Written English, French & Arabic (advantage)

Additional Information

Internal/External stakeholders: Collaborates with internal teams across Order Administration, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Trade Compliance, and leadership, as well as external stakeholders including customers (EPCs, End Users, LBP/Agents, OEMs) and banks to ensure seamless order execution and alignment with business objectives.
