Job Summary:
The Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily maintenance and repair needs of customer equipment. They must establish and maintain appropriate business relationships with customers and colleagues, as well as perform necessary administrative activities and other assigned functions.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
Onboard Service Execution:

Provide support, supervise, and test/troubleshoot field issues onboard vessels and various offshore units. This includes sailing/staying onboard vessels/units while handling services and warranty-related matters.
- Execute the requested service in the best possible way to meet customer deadlines and expectations.
Commissioning and On-site Sea Trial Execution:

Test, calibrate, and verify the system configuration within Emerson ICMS software and other ICMS supplies and Emerson marine products.
- Deliver and obtain approvals from the Shipyard, Owner, and Class during sea trials.
Reports / Administrative Activities:

Clearly written work reports must be completed upon returning from trips, in English, detailing all follow-up points.

Onboard service reports must be signed by customers.

Stay up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining internal service reports and internal records in a timely manner.

Participation in FAT Tests:
- Participate in customer equipment workshop tests, together with project engineering, the end customer, and Class.
Training:
-
Participate in all trainings and meetings as required by Emerson.

Participate in, observe, and comply with the company’s health and safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment.

Attend local trainings in the workshop/laboratory/classroom in Denmark and other locations as needed to obtain product updates.

Provide basic on-site/onboard training for customers/crews.

For this role, you will need:

Electrical/Mechanical education with strong knowledge of software and hardware. Additional certifications or training in maintenance, repair, or technical fields related to marine equipment are a plus.

3 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex technical equipment or systems. Ability to work in a global environment.

Experience dealing with customers in high-pressure environments.

Availability to work overtime, as needed.

Computer literacy and experience with MS Office and Excel.

Fluency in English and Portuguese, written and spoken.

Work location: Rio de Janeiro.
