About the Team and the Role:
Identity is foundational to how users safely access and interact with e Bay’s global marketplace. The Identity team owns the core systems and workflows that power account creation, authentication, account security, different account models and trust signals across millions of buyers and sellers worldwide. As e Bay continues to evolve its platform and expand its ecosystem, identity is increasingly delivered as a platform capability (Identity-as-a-Service) that enables secure and seamless experiences across products, devices, and partners and evolves from single-user accounts to multi-user, role-based identity systems supporting families and teams.
We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to help shape the next generation of identity capabilities at e Bay. This role sits at the intersection of security, platform infrastructure, and user experience, driving innovations in authentication, identity signals, risk mitigation, and account protection. As identity technologies evolve, we are also exploring how AI can enhance identity verification, fraud detection, and user trust signals, making this an exciting opportunity to define the future of identity at scale. This role requires deep understanding of identity systems and modern authentication patterns, balancing seamless user access with strong security and risk controls.
What You Will Accomplish

Define product direction and drive outcomes across the identity lifecycle, including registration, sign-in, authentication, account recovery, and identity security.

Own and evolve product strategy for key identity initiatives that balance seamless user experience with strong security and risk controls.

Build and scale identity platform capabilities that support multiple teams, products, and services across e Bay.

Partner closely with engineering, security, privacy, trust & safety, and risk teams to deliver secure and resilient identity systems.

Drive clarity on product goals, sequencing, and trade-offs across multiple identity use cases.
-
Improve user access and authentication experiences while strengthening protections against account abuse, fraud, and compromise.
-
Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to identify friction points and prioritize improvements across the identity journey.

Ensure identity experiences remain trusted, compliant, and scalable globally.
What You Will Bring:
-
10+ years of product management experience, ideally in Identity, Authentication, Platform, Security, or Trust & Safety domains.
-
Experience building or scaling products in areas such as registration, login/authentication, identity verification, account security, or risk prevention. Familiarity with Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) concepts and modern authentication architectures and systems supporting multiple user roles, delegated access, and account governance.

Strong product judgment and ability to operate across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Comfort owning horizontal platform capabilities used by multiple teams at e Bay and its subsidiaries

Technical fluency and ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineering partners on system design and platform architecture.

Experience operating in global, high-trust, or regulated environments.

Clear communicator who can operate at both strategy and execution levels.

Demonstrated leadership ability with strong ownership and ability to drive initiatives end-to-end.
Interest in leveraging AI/ML to improve identity signals, authentication flows, or fraud detection
