Job Description: Ticket Business Development & Operations Manager (10 Years of Experience)

Business Overview:
e Bay Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of e Bay, one of the world’s largest online marketplaces headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA. In Japan, e Bay Japan operates Qoo10, a shopping platform widely supported by Gen Z consumers and recognized as a leader in beauty and lifestyle trends.
Experiences driven by culture and entertainment are a core element of the lifestyle proposed by Qoo10. The company aims to become a major player in Japan’s entertainment market by connecting online and offline experiences, including concerts and live events across the country.

Background of Recruitment:
To accelerate the growth of our Entertainment Marketing business and expand market share, we are seeking a seasoned professional who can take full ownership of ticket rights acquisition and the advancement of ticketing systems.
This position will be responsible for end-to-end ticket operations in Japan within the Entertainment Marketing (ENT MKT) function. The role covers all aspects of the Qoo10 ticket business, including branding in the entertainment market, system operations, ticket rights acquisition, vendor management, and cross-functional and external communications.

Role: Execution and full operational management of the ticket business on the Qoo10 Japan platform

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain & Partnership Development:
Secure exclusive ticket inventory and advance sales rights through partnerships with Japanese talent agencies, promoters, and venue operators. -
Ticketing System Advancement:
Lead the planning and implementation of services optimized for the Japanese market, including lottery-based ticketing systems, e-ticket solutions, and anti-scalping/fraud prevention measures. -
Cross-Border Collaboration:
Execute strategies for introducing global entertainment content into the Japanese market and for inbound ticketing targeting overseas fans.
5. Required Qualifications (Must Have)

Experience:
10 years of hands-on experience at a ticketing company or a music/entertainment IP-related organization. -
Domain Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Japan’s ticket distribution ecosystem, including payment and issuance systems, resale rules, and relevant regulations. -
Industry Network:
Established direct communication channels with entertainment industry stakeholders and event organizers.
6. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience launching or renewing ticket services within an EC platform.

Experience developing data-driven marketing strategies and improving user experience (UX).

Fluency in Japanese (native or business level).

Korean language skills are a plus (business-level proficiency preferred).

Strong communication skills in a global IT and multicultural environment.
