OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager, Sourcing & Product Development oversees and leads the sourcing strategy, product development, for their brand(s) and contributes to the overall global sourcing strategy. Manages development with vendors across multiple brands and collaborate with fabric, design and technical design team to develop product to meet IMU target set by the merchants. Interacts with key leaders to enhance business relationships, maintain credibility with key partners, and promote efficiencies by coming to meetings prepared with creative solutions. Lead meetings with cross-functional partners and vertical brand leadership for total business through preparing agendas, meeting rooms, documentation and recaps. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing and product development team. The Senior Manager of Sourcing and Product Development also needs to be able to recap information and provide solution-based suggestions to multiple teams to ensure smooth development for production.

  • Oversee and lead sourcing strategy, product development, and production for brand(s) and contribute to the overall sourcing department strategy. Determine which styles are a good fit for a vendor based on capabilities, capacity, costing, and the global sourcing strategy. Review and revise allocation as necessary based on product integrity and vendor strategy, fabric franchises and capacity. Continuously work to align T&A's across brands and work to improve vendor timelines and read and react strategies. Ensure product meets quality, fit, timeline, and IMU goals.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing and product development team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Cultivate vendor relationships and strategic opportunities to align the vendor matrix. Work alongside the director to lead new vendor opportunities and cost exercises in order to align with the competitive market.

  • Attend weekly CFT and quarterly milestone meetings to lead the sourcing team in sharing key initiatives and updated information.
