Meet the team:

Welcome to IT Team at Dexcom Malaysia. As a SW Test Engineer 1, you are someone with a background in testing and coordinating the testing of global Enterprise Applications. The role will require excellent planning skills who keeps overall project objectives in mind whilst being thorough and diligent enough to work through the details of testing and defect management cycles. You will be working “hands-on” with multiple business functions in different countries so the ability to communicate effectively and support non-IT staff through testing is vital. The primary purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate, and own all testing activities for all MY Enterprise applications projects and Business-as-Usual change requests.

Where you come in:

• You will work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Leads, and Development/Support teams to ensure sufficient testing is completed to prove that requirements have met.

• You will work with key stakeholders and Global Test Team to define test strategy and approach for individual projects as appropriate.

• You will develop and own documented Test Plans ensuring they include test entry and exit criteria for SIT, UAT, and Production Smoke testing.

• You will ensure Dexcom global Test Management applications are set up and utilized per Global Test Team processes and standards.

• You will support the business in defining test cases/scenarios.

• You will write and support the business in developing/revising test scripts.

• You will execute test scripts if required.

• You will work with the Project Manager / Product Owner to schedule testing, ensuring testers are appropriately trained and have system access as required.

• You will oversee defect management ensuring defects are routed to the appropriate technical team.

• You will issue Test Progress reports and attends meetings as required by the Project Manager.

• You will write Test Completion Reports for each phase of testing as part of the project stage-gate or Production Change Request process. Own Test Environments and liaise closely with global Test environment owners to ensure config, code, and data are aligned with each test phase. 

What makes you successful:

• You have track record of planning and coordinating successful System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test cycles in a global setting.

• You have knowledge of Finance and Sales processes.

• You have experience in Waterfall and Agile development methods.

• You have experience in using/administering Test Management software and ideally JIRA.

• You have experience in working with EBS/WMS /Oracle Fusion/Coupa.

• You are a self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision whilst operating under a global test framework.
