About the role

The Associate Principal Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer plays a key technical role in planning, executing, and continuously improving Verification & Validation activities for Leica’s products. The role contributes to V&V strategies, test planning, and execution to ensure product performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across mechanical, electrical, optical, firmware, and software domains.

Working closely with R&D, RA/QA, Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain, and global teams, the Associate Principal V&V Engineer supports early risk identification, effective verification coverage, and consistent execution throughout the product development lifecycle. Key challenges include ensuring adequate test coverage for complex systems, balancing project timelines with verification rigor, supporting regulatory compliance, and strengthening V&V methods, documentation, and knowledge reuse across projects.
