The Technical Support Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics plays a vital role in ensuring reliable, world-class performance of our medical diagnostic systems used in hospitals across the globe. You will deliver critical technical support to our global field service organization, acting as a key resource for resolving complex escalations, advising on effective issue resolution strategies, and ensuring clear communication with both internal teams and external partners.

 This position reports to the Senior Manager of Global Product Technical Support, who leads global efforts to support our installed base of products, is part of the Global Product Technical Support department located in Miami, FL and will be remotely based in Hong Kong.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a global technical escalation lead, partnering with regional SMEs to resolve complex, high-impact field issues.
  • Provide advanced system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for hardware, software, and workflow issues encountered in customer environments.
  • Represent the service organization in new product introductions, ensuring service requirements, tools, and training are integrated into launch readiness activities.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality service content including technical bulletins, service manuals, and training materials.
  • Track, analyze, and trend key service performance metrics to support data-driven continuous improvement

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related field with 3+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree in field with 2+ years of experience.
  • "Experience" refers to technical, manufacturing, hotline, field service, medical technology, hands-on repairs, and similar discipline.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical and non-technical documentation effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and data analysis

Travel & Motor Vehicle Record Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 50% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will mostly be internationally to either customers or third party vendors.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Writing or developing technical documentation
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Exposure to field service or customer support environments
  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions
