Job Description

Oversee and manage end-to-end tax compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws while optimizing tax efficiency and minimizing organizational tax liabilities

Key Responsibilities

Income Tax & Transfer Pricing

  • Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies under the guidance of the Tax Director.
  • Review corporate income tax returns and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely filing of returns.
  • Support in managing income tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide impact assessments.
  • Prepare periodic reports on compliance status and tax liabilities for management review.
  • Support in preparing Transfer Pricing Study Reports (TPSR).
  • Assist in filing Form 3CEB and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of related party transactions.
  • Coordinate with auditors and external consultants for TP compliance.
  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) : Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS and filing TDS returns
  • Prepare and file TDS returns accurately.
  • Reconcile TDS accounts and maintain records.
  • Provide guidance to finance teams on TDS applicability.
  • Track legislative changes and assess compliance impact.

Indirect Tax (GST)

  • Compute GST liabilities including IGST for cross-border transactions.
  • Review and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) accurately and on time.
  • Manage GST registrations, amendments, and compliance across business locations.
  • Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) and maintain proper documentation.
  • Support GST audits, assessments, and responses to authorities.
  • Assist in implementing GST compliance processes and training internal teams.
  • Handle GST exemptions and refund claims related to exports.

Qualification

  • 2-5 years of experience in taxation including exposure to Indirect Tax (GST).
  • CA with 2-3 years or CA Inter / CWA Inter with upto 5 years of experience in taxation.
