Job Summary
The Corporate Strategy Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic and high visibility projects that help shape Comcast’s enterprise-wide strategy. This key contributor to the Corporate Strategy team will work with functional leaders across all of Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky’s divisions to identify areas for growth, evaluate investment opportunities and answer key strategic questions. Day-to-day, they will hone their analytical, communication and problem-solving skills as they conduct in-depth analysis and make recommendations. The Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to interact with & present to executives at the highest level of the company.
Job Description Core Responsibilities
- Assist Corporate Strategy leadership on strategy projects related to Comcast’s businesses (e.g. Corporate, Cable, NBCU, Sky)
- Evaluate the financial, operational and strategic attractiveness of new business opportunities or existing initiatives
- Conduct in-depth analysis, identify key insights and draw conclusions
- Create clear executive level presentations to communicate results
- Participate in meetings with senior Comcast executives and external groups (e.g. investment banks, industry experts)
- Conducts financial and operational analysis proficiently and with minimal support
- Structures problem solving approaches in a logical and coherent manner
- Identifies and sources relevant data, and synthesizes key information
- Offers opinions on key hypotheses, insights or recommendations
- Keeps current on important industry trends based on analyst research, industry news
- Creates effective slides to communicate analysis outputs that contribute to broader storyline flows
- Fosters relationships with appropriate stakeholders across functions and business units
- Independently manages workload across projects
- Contributes to team building (i.e., coordinating trainings, organizing events, helping with recruiting)
- Works collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
- Generally requires 2-4 years related experience
- Management consulting or investment banking experience preferred, but not required
Other Requirements:
- Excellent organizational, financial, interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to drive analytics independently and manage multiple projects / deadlines
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives
- Respects and promotes inclusion and diversity
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
