Job Summary

The Technical Writer for the IS Solutions Tech & Automation Team is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user‑friendly documentation focusing on internal business processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials. This role partners closely with operational teams, leadership, and business stakeholders to document how internal processes work, how to perform key tasks, and how to navigate various systems and tools.This writer is primarily process‑focused, translating complex steps and workflows into simple, effective documentation for internal teams. They also maintain documentation repositories, support content versioning, create visual process materials, and assist in training enablement.

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:

• Develops clear and detailed documentation for internal processes, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Writes step‑by‑step guides for business processes, workflows, and operational tasks.
• Ensures documentation reflects accurate sequence, ownership, systems used, and decision points.
• Establish and evolve documentation standards, templates and style guides
• Review and approve documentation created by others
• Creates internal user guides, quick reference sheets, and onboarding materials.
• Supports development of training materials such as slide decks, job aids, and visual walkthroughs.
• Partners with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure content clarity and usability.
• Conducts interviews with SMEs, process owners, and automation developers to clarify process steps and requirements.
• Maintains documentation libraries within Confluence, Share Point, or other internal systems.
• Manages file organization, naming standards, versioning, and access permissions.
• Ensures documentation is easily searchable and consistently structured.
• Defines and maintains documentation standards and helps junior technical writers understand and adopt documentation standards.
• Develops version control methods and documents in library.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
