Join our Team
About this opportunity:
We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our engineering team to create clear, accurate documentation for our 5G-ready, cloud-native BSS/OSS, Cloud Core and Cloud Infrastructure products, and enhance product capabilities with applied AI. You will work closely with architects, product owners, cross-functional teams to produce developer and user-facing content that helps internal teams and external customers adopt and integrate our solutions.
What you will do:
- Produce high-quality, well-structured documentation, including API reference, SDK guides, product and infrastructure documentation, user guides, help articles, knowledge-base content.
- Author and maintain OpenAPI 3-compliant API documentation and include sample code and usage examples to reduce integration friction for developers.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers and support to translate complex technical concepts into clear, consumable content.
- Review, edit and refactor existing documentation to improve structure, clarity, completeness and discoverability.
- Create and maintain documentation workflows and templates; ensure consistent style and terminology across deliverables.
- Work in Agile development cycles: attend sprint ceremonies, document new and enhanced features, and update release notes.
- Support documentation publishing and versioning processes, and coordinate with localization or compliance teams when required.
- Work effectively in remote and distributed teams across time zones.
The skills you bring:
- Proven experience as a technical writer for APIs and developer platforms, with public examples of work (URLs).
- Strong hands-on experience with OpenAPI/Swagger (OpenAPI 3) and experience producing API reference documentation.
- Ability to read and write sample code (at least one common language) and incorporate code snippets into documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics.
- Experience authoring a range of documentation types: reference, how-to, conceptual, troubleshooting and microcontent.
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of cross-functional, distributed teams in an Agile environment.
- Experience receiving and acting on feedback to improve documentation quality.
Desirable
- Familiarity with cloud-native concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) and telecom/5G terminology and architectures.
- Experience with documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Markdown-based static site generators, Confluence, Read the Docs, or similar).
- Knowledge of documentation automation, CI/CD for docs, and version-controlled doc repositories (Git).
AI competencies (advantageous)
- Practical understanding of generative AI and responsible use of AI-assisted writing tools.
- Experience with AI-enabled documentation platforms or copilots (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Docu Mind, or equivalents).
- Ability to use AI to accelerate content creation, editing and sample-code generation while ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
- Commitment to continuous learning about AI tooling and adapting workflows responsibly.
