We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President,Equities Delta 1 Middle Office Senior Analyst - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Securities & Derivatives Manager – C12) based in Hong Kong. The Equities Delta One Middle Office is a specialist team within the Prime Finance division, providing dedicated support to the Delta One and Synthetic Prime Brokerage Trading & Sales desks.
This senior role is at the heart of our client-centric model, delivering premier operational service for clients trading volume-driven equity derivatives like Portfolio Swaps and Participatory Notes. As a key partner to both clients and the business, you will not only manage the full trade lifecycle but also drive the future of our platform. We are looking for a champion who will mentor junior talent and spearhead initiatives to innovate our services, boost efficiency, and ultimately develop into a Subject Matter Expert in a key growth area for the firm.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the dedicated operational point of contact for a portfolio of key Prime Brokerage clients. You will manage and enhance these relationships through first-class service, directly interact with prospective clients, and seamlessly onboard new clients to our platform.
- Trade Lifecycle Ownership: Gain exposure to and manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle for Equity Swaps and P-Notes, from execution and allocation to settlements and complex query resolution, including fails management.
- Operational Risk & Control: Proactively manage operational risk by adhering to and building upon our established control framework. Continuously enhance the control environment to strengthen our operational model.
- Business Partnership & Regional Growth: Act as a vital liaison to Front Office Sales and Trading, supporting our growing client roster and the expansion of our business footprint in Asia.
- Process & System Enhancement: Drive the evolution of our operating model. Partner with business and technology teams on system enhancement projects to increase scalability and capacity. Champion initiatives to reduce manual touchpoints and de-risk manual processes.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and deep product expertise.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Experience: 5-8 years in a relevant, client-facing role (e.g., Middle Office, Prime Brokerage Operations, Trade Support).
- Product Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cash Equity and Equity Swaps (or related Equity Derivatives) and the complete trade lifecycle (trade capture, settlements, reconciliations) is essential. Experience with Corporate Actions is a significant plus.
- Client Focus: Proven experience delivering exceptional service to clients. Carries excellent client service and communication skills, with the confidence to lead client meetings and manage key relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a talent for making sound, evaluative judgments in complex and dynamic situations. Track record of successfully improving processes, automating workflows, and contributing to technology projects.
- Mindset: A proactive, results-oriented professional with an unwavering focus on risk management and building a strong control environment. One who is dynamic and agile and greets pressure and challenge in a fast-paced, high-volume, multitasking environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
