Individuals in Governance Reporting & Analysis are responsible for developing standard risk and controls reporting to ensure sound, reliable, consistent information exists across the organization to enable better management and decision-making in line with the expectations of senior management, Board, and the Regulators. Provide data analysis, governance, end to end management and oversight for Governance Committees in adherence to Citi’s Policies, Standards and Procedures enabling proactive management of the risk and control environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize complex data visualizations and ETL workflows, turning raw data into actionable insights.  The candidate must be experts in advanced Tableau Desktop techniques, such as Level of Detail (LOD) calculations and interactive dashboards, while utilizing Tableau Prep to cleanse and structure data. This role requires SQL expertise, high-level stakeholder collaboration, and performance tuning for large-scale data.

  • Advanced Analytics & Visualization: Design and develop highly interactive dashboards and reports, utilizing LOD calculations, parameters, sets, and complex calculated fields.

  • Data Preparation & Transformation: Use Tableau Prep Builder to combine, clean, shape, and automate data flows from various sources.

  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and tune Tableau workbooks, extracts, and SQL queries to ensure high performance with large datasets.

  • Data Modeling & Architecture: Create efficient data models, blending data when necessary, and maintaining data integrity.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into actionable, visually compelling dashboards.

  • Governance & Support: Publish and manage workbooks on Tableau Server, implementing row-level security and best practices

  • Trend Analysis: Assess and leverage available data and reporting to identify trends, themes and areas requiring stakeholder review via the team’s reporting outputs

  • Team player: Support the team to create, implement and/or improve processes through efficiencies/automation

  • Support Metric Delivery with Quality and Control: Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering metrics that are not only timely but also of the highest quality and subject to rigorous control. You will help maintain consistency and precision in all reported data.

  • Identify and Flag Discrepancies: Proactively identify any discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in data and reports, bringing them to the attention of senior team members for resolution.

  • Adhere to Best Practices: Learn and apply best practices for data validation and quality assurance to ensure that all outputs meet our high standards for reliability and trustworthiness

  • Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in experience in data analytics / data science, ideally in Risk, Compliance, Legal or other control related functions within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or a combination thereof experience in area of focus as well as working within a globally dispersed team

  • Excellent working knowledge of Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, Excel, Share Point, and other database systems

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.

  • Proven experience in control related functions in the financial industry.

  • Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes.

  • Understanding of Citi’s Policies, Standards, and Procedures.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at the senior management level.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
