The Data/Information Mgt Sr Mgr (Vice President) accomplishes strategic outcomes through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). He/She embeds deep subject matter and industry expertise within Operations' Business Intelligence (BI) coupled with AI-led decision intelligence. The incumbent contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how operational sub-functions collectively integrate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Commercial awareness is an added advantage. Proficient exec-level communication, change management and diplomacy skills are 'must-have' in order to guide, influence and convince key business partners / stakeholders within Citi and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approvals as well.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the Operations' BI life cycle and embed AI-led intelligence across various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering, leading into intelligent visualization & insights generation
- Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against Operations strategic outcomes, policies, guidelines
- Role at this level usually has full ownership of end-to-end Operations' BI life cycle and may also be considered an analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function, strategic project deliverables
- May supervise day-to-day work of junior employees
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10-13 years of experience
- Experience developing and implementing AI-led analytical strategies
- Track record of developing analytics, innovation, data science, and intelligent solutions
- Experience in developing, managing and implementing big-ticket analytical strategies in the Financial Services industry
- In-depth understanding of the Financial Services Operations & business models
- Knowledge of Consumer Financial Services regulatory environment
- Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques & AI tools
Education:
- Bachelors (BTech) / University degree, Master’s degree preferred
