The C15 Director, LF Holdings Strategy and Support Head, is a senior-level position responsible for leading and managing various critical activities across operations and technology functions for Holdings organization. Holdings Operations includes in-country teams in multiple countries as well as a centralized operations hub (CSIPL), with Holdings Technology supported across multiple locations including India, Singapore and Poland, providing application management and production support for the Holdings markets. Holdings mandate is to effectively support and wind down residual obligations and activities from Wind-down, divested, and liquidated Legacy Franchises businesses. Residual obligations include reputational, contractual, and regulatory items that remain post-divestiture or wind-down.
The incumbent will establish and maintain a strong control framework for Holdings Operations and Technology, champion operational excellence, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. A key requirement will be the centralization of common activities from various locations, mandated via enterprise-wide programs (such as third-party management, records management) to enhance efficiency and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of senior resources, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective delivery of team objectives.
- Strategic Operations & Process Enhancement:
Design and implement strategies and processes that drive continuous improvement, enhance efficiency through digitization, and reduce control risk, creating durability consistent with residual obligations and activities.
- Technology & Process Simplification:
Collaborate with Technology leadership to identify and implement process simplification opportunities using digital tools, with a focus on reducing manual touchpoints.
- Control Framework & Risk Mitigation:
Establish and maintain a strong control framework, including quality assurance, issues management, CAP management, and continuity of business planning. Provide effective operational risk management oversight and ensure timely identification and resolution of corrective actions.
- Centralization of Activities:
Drive the centralization of operational activities from various dispersed locations into the centralized operations hub, optimizing processes, reducing redundancies, and strengthening control.
- Financial Planning & Expense Management:
Centrally coordinate the department's expenses and headcount management processes. Manage the department's financial planning (Forecast, Outlook, and Plan) for Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) expenses, ensuring budget adherence and adequate resource coverage.
- Records Management Oversight (RMO & RMPL):
Oversee the Records Management process across countries, ensuring governance and compliance with the Records Management Policy and Standard. This includes potentially holding RMO or RMPL roles and working with Global RMPL to meet obligations.
- Change Management Leadership:
Provide leadership for change management work efforts, projects, and programs for recently completed developments. This includes overseeing Business-Critical Milestone reporting and other Project Tracking System (PTS) reporting processes for quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Reconciliation& Regulatory Reporting:
Build systems to monitor and track unclaimed funds and movement to ensure any potential client/ fraud risks are minimized. Ensure you to monitor regulatory reporting obligations across holdings markets to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Issue Resolution & Lessons Learned:
Establish and manage an effective process to escalate and socialize material risk events and issues, maintaining an escalation register, conducting root cause analysis, trending, and incorporating lessons learned into future processes.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of five years in Operations or Controls Management-related roles.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams,
- In-depth knowledge of the Citi Operations and divestiture
- Strong risk-based thinking and analytical mindset.
- Exceptional ability to successfully manage relationships across multiple functions and execute against collective goals.
- Highly initiative-taking, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at managing complex and varied issues with significant cross-departmental impact.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
