Corporate Salesperson - Assistant Vice President
Corporate Solutions Group originates, structures and executes a wide range of risk management and investment solutions for corporate and public sector clients across Asia. The team is within Markets, sits on both public and private side and works closely with Trading, Structuring, Banking and ICM/Risk/Compliance. The individual will originate a wide range of client transactions, from managing interest rate, currency, equity and commodities exposures on their financing to offering excess cash investment alternatives. Transactions range from the simple and immediate to highly structured and strategic.
Responsibilities:
- Originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions with Chinese corporate and public sector clients
- Work closely with banking team to promote CSG investment solutions business by providing regular market updates, trading ideas and pricing indications
- Develop and help maintain existing platform while working collaboratively to enhance existing operational process
- Drive client engagement through buying and selling securities, offering and pricing derivative transactions & analyzing associated risks for all asset classes (FX/Rates/Equity/Credit/Commodity)
- Taking initiative to work with product teams to develop trade ideas, pricing strategy and pitch books
- On-boarding and prospecting key clients
- Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of client
- Help foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
- Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct with high standard
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to develop a client base, understand markets and clients dynamics
- Technical background necessary to originate, understand and price transactions
- Strong judgement to evaluate risks to clients and Citi
- Ability to create effective internal partnerships
- Self-Motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Excel/Word/Power point
- Must have or be able to obtain licenses required
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, Cantonese speaking is a plus
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
