The Credit Maintenance Lead Analyst is senior level position responsible for maintaining data on credit exposures, obligors, and facilities in relevant credit systems in coordination with the Operations – Services team. The overall objective of this role is to lead quality efforts, analyze and report credit exposure, escalate deficiencies, and recommend delinquent strategies in alignment with overall credit policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review scanned documents received and record in applicable inventory database in a timely manner
  • Research legal documents to identify specific clauses and transfer data into a loan referential database
  • Identify missing documents as well as coordinate with Relationship Manager (RM), customer service staff, and legal counsel to ensure standard, enforceable and approved documents are held to protect the bank or that appropriate deferral is in place
  • Maintain status of pending deferrals and deficiencies ensuring follow up
  • Provide forward looking monitoring of expirations for Uniform Commercial Codes (UCCs) and insurance to maintain tight controls
  • Provide monitoring and notification of facilities to identify missing documents, documents to be warehoused, or changes in loan amounts
  • Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level personnel as well as provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Influence strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services
  • Authorize credit exposure relating to traditional or complex financing activities as well as analyze and review financial information pertinent to potential borrowers
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
