Key responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the IBM i Series Operating System management including:

• Administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the IBM i Operating System, security, middleware and communications software on Power-8 and Power-10 PowerVM hardware.
• Software product administration and maintenance of the following software products IBMi 7.4 and 7.5 operating system and license product programs
• Trinity Guard Suite
• Connect Direct
• IBM MQ
• IBM C.A.R.T.
• IBM Expert Query
• PKWare PKEncrypt
• PTC – MKS Implementer
• TAA Tools
• SEA – abs Message
• Administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the following hardware and devices IBM FS7300
• Virtual input output server
• Broadcom Brocade Switches
• IBM Hardware Management Consoles
• High availability systems operations, scheduling, automation and support
• Vulnerability patching of operating system and associated components
• Storage & File Systems management
• Hardware Planning, Configuration and Incident Management
• Performance & Capacity Management
• System (COB) Continuity of Business processes and procedures
• Review requirement documents and update processes and procedures as necessary
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform impact analysis, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services
• Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service

Qualifications:

• 7 plus years of experience working on large, complex i Series environments especially in Financial Services industry, with a proven track record of delivering results on time, operational process change and improvement.
• 5+ years of experience providing level 2/3 engineering support
• Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
