Overview
Cigna is expanding its Business Planning and Management capabilities to support our mission of improving the health and well-being of those we serve. The Business Case Management plays a key role in developing operational plans that align with customer expectations, profitability goals, and strategic business targets. This position supports planning efforts across global verticals including employer segments, medical cost management, finance, and service operations, contributing to affordability and customer experience strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing data and cost models to guide staffing location decisions based on skills, languages, and regulatory needs.
- Provide insights into resource utilization and cost-effectiveness to support business requirements.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for planning and operations teams.
- Support the creation of resource optimization plans across multi-site, multi-network environments using capacity planning.
- Contribute to forecasting and staffing models across various work types and skill sets.
- Collaborate with Planning team members to execute optimization strategies and maintain capacity models.
- Interpret operational data to identify key performance drivers and cross-functional impacts.
- Participate in the design of solutions for delivery projects, aligning with business requirements and existing capabilities.
- Support operational metric reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Competencies
- Strong relationship management skills with business operations and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication across various levels of the organization.
- Proactive in identifying performance and process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in operational planning and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience collaborating with Finance and Operations teams.
- Familiarity with Qlik View, SQL, or Tableau is a plus.
- Prior experience in health insurance or operations is desirable.
