Position Overview

Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is looking for exceptional developer in our Advance Analytics organization. In this role, you will actively participate with your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals as well as subject matter experts to understand business logic you will be engineering. As a software engineer, you will help develop an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation capabilities on an enterprise-wide scale. You will work in an agile environment, delivering user-oriented products.

Seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior/Lead Python Developer with a proven track record of 8 years in back-end development, specializing in building scalable, high-performance, and user-centric web applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem, along with strong leadership and architectural skills to drive technical excellence in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, high-impact solutions, features and web applications using Python, React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6).
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and efficient back-end solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other backend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers, to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, code quality, and application performance through code reviews, testing, and optimization techniques.

Qualifications Required Skills:

• Working experience in Python & API development.
• Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.
• Experience with architecture, design, and development of enterprise application solutions.
• Command of written and / or diagrammatic communication capabilities with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization to get the work done.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred).
• Willing to learn and develop front ends using the React Framework

Required Experience & Education:

• 5 years of overall IT experience.
• 5 years of experience in programming language Python
• Good understanding of cloud platforms & devops.

Preferred Experience:

• 2 years of experience in web development framework like React JS
• 2 years of experience in AWS

Location & Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
