Charles Schwab's Digital Wealth & Advisor Platforms organization is seeking a **Senior Product Manager (individual contributor)**to lead product strategy and delivery for **Discretionary Investment Management (DIM)**and Portfolio / Tax-Aware Transition capabilities.

This role is responsible for building scalable, compliant, and intuitive capabilities that enable centralized discretionary portfolio management and thoughtful, tax-efficient transitions into managed investment offers.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring deep collaboration across investment strategy, portfolio management, trading, technology, operations, legal, and compliance, with a focus on delivering end-to-end client and advisor experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Discretionary Investment Management and Portfolio Transition capabilities
  • Partner with investment strategists, portfolio managers, and transition services teams to translate investment and fiduciary requirements into scalable digital solutions
  • Lead development of tax-aware transition capabilities, including transition analysis, sleeves, systematic reviews, and ongoing portfolio maintenance
  • Collaborate with technology, data, and architecture teams to design platform-based solutions, APIs, and integrations supporting discretionary workflows
  • Drive Agile delivery across one or more Scrum teams by writing epics, features, and user stories; refining backlogs; and prioritizing work based on business outcomes
  • Define acceptance criteria, test plans, and release plans, ensuring high-quality delivery across complex regulatory and operational constraints
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Discretionary Investment Management and Portfolio Transitions in stakeholder forums, reviews, and executive updates
  • Support production needs by triaging issues, driving root-cause analysis, and ensuring continuous improvement post-launch

What you have Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with ownership of complex financial services platforms
  • Strong understanding of Discretionary Investment Management, managed accounts, or wealth management operating models
  • Experience designing or delivering tax-aware portfolio transition or implementation solutions
  • Proven success leading delivery in Agile / Scrum environments across multiple teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Exposure to AI-enabled features
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, including comfort with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transition management, or tax-managed investing solutions
  • Familiarity with centralized trading, tax overlays, or portfolio monitoring workflows
  • Experience modernizing or scaling discretionary investment platforms
  • Knowledge of Schwab products, advisory offers, or wealth management platforms
  • CFA or advanced finance-related credentials

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
