COMMERCIAL INTERN
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Contract Type: Internship (6 months)
ABOUT THE ROLE
At CHANEL, our commitment to excellence and business performance is at the heart of our Maison. As a Commercial Intern, you will support the Commercial Manager and collaborate with Area Sales Managers and Supply Chain Executives to coordinate and execute commercial activities across the Middle East. This 6-month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in luxury retail analytics, commercial coordination and cross-functional teamwork, while contributing to the continued success of one of the world’s most iconic brands.
WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL
- Assist in consolidating and uploading sales data from local markets into business intelligence platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Cross-validate sales information by comparing system data with local source files.
- Prepare and share monthly performance reports (MTD, YTD, vs. budget) with clear, actionable insights.
- Assess and track submitted purchase orders and distributor stock holding, analyzing coverage periods and suggesting improvements where needed.
- Support Area Sales Managers with order validation and provide critical feedback prior to final placement.
- Monitor and report monthly EOL (End of Life) volumes at distributor level.
- Follow up on expense trackers with local markets, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Cross-check expense entries and flag any discrepancies or overspending.
- Update and improve commercial templates for new periods, and assist local market teams with troubleshooting and consolidation.
- Suggest new template formats to streamline reporting and consolidation processes.
- Collect and validate documentation for UAE shipment clearance, coordinating with Supply Chain Executives for timely delivery.
- Maintain organized files and reports to support seamless commercial operations.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proactive follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and work collaboratively across teams.
- Clear and confident communicator, with strong verbal and written English skills.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Motivation to turn data into actionable insights and support business growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or recent graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience or coursework in commercial analysis, data management, or retail is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
- Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
