Area Boutique Manager – Fragrance & Beauty, Gothenburg
Chanel is currently looking for an enthusiastic, structured and self-driven Area Boutique Manager to lead our two boutiques in Fredsgatan and Åhléns City, Göteborg towards achieving great results and creating consistent and memorable experiences with our clients.
As Area Boutique Manager, you will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day sales, operations and overall performance across both locations. A key focus of the role is to establish and nurture a world-class service and selling culture, ensuring excellence in client experience, operational standards and team engagement. You combine strong business acumen with operational presence and are confident balancing a structured oversight with hands-on leadership on the shop floor.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gothenburg. You will be offered an inspiring work environment with opportunities for growth in a company with high ambitions and a bold vision. You will lead, coach and develop our sell-out teams of Beauty Advisors across both boutiques. Weekend work and unsociable hours will occur.
Your direct manager will be the Retail Manager for Sweden to whom you will report on a timely and frequently basis.
Your key responsibilities
To succeed in this position, you are able to balance operational execution with strong people management across both locations. You lead by example and naturally create a collaborative, performance-driven and positive team culture. As a proactive and proven leader, you inspire both your teams and clients through your visible presence on the shop floor, while maintaining a structured and operational overview of the business. As a brand ambassador, you understand how to translate Chanel’s vision and strategy into concrete business initiatives and daily actions. You ensure alignment, consistency and high standards across both boutiques.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading by example on the selling floor, demonstrating state-of-the-art client engagement and selling techniques.
- Demonstrating excellent selling skills through implementation of storytelling as well as cross, link, and up-selling techniques.
- Monitoring and tracking performance metrics for individual employees, delivering consistent feedback, conducting ongoing follow-up and support.
- Conducting regular performance reviews, feedback sessions and development dialogues.
- Performing gap analysis and implementing action plans in close collaboration with Retail Learning & Development specialist.
- Driving sales performance and achieving KPIs, such as Conversion Rate, Units per Transaction (UPT), Price per Unit (PPU) and Average Basket Size.
- Implementing and ensuring respect of visual merchandising guidelines Adapts animations and events for local clientele within the guidelines of the brand strategy and retail plan.
- Managing staff scheduling and annual workforce planning, including daily operational zoning.
Your qualifications
- You have at least 3 years of documented experience in retail sales management, responsibility for multiple units is considered and advantage
- Solid experience in leading and developing teams, with the ability to drive accountability and performance.
- You have minimum of 5 years shop floor experience within the Beauty industry. It is an advantage if you are a qualified cosmetologist or makeup artist.
- As a people manager, you are engaging and communicative, performance minded and decisive strive for continuous improvement. You combine empathy, social mobility with a strong focus on achieving results.
- You are a self-driven, positive and independent person.
- You are trustworthy with a high degree of integrity and ethics.
- You are decisive and performance oriented.
- You have a passion for client experience, luxury and beauty.
- You speak Swedish and English, - good written and verbal communications skills
