This position is responsible for Monthly Closing activities, Financial analysis, Forecasting and Legal Entity support, Accountable and Legal entity results. Reporting to this position are financial analysis, Payroll, Accounts payable and Indirect tax functions.
Role Definition Manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the organization.

• Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Preparing or leading preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations.
• Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
• Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's level degree in Accounting or approved certification (CPA/CMA)

• 10+ years of accounting experience

• Strong English Language

Skill Required Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Analytical Thinking**: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.**

Effective Communications**: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.**
Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.

Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.

Accounting**: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.**

Financial Analysis**: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.**

Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Prior experience supervising small teams in accounting reporting environments.

• Strong acumen for managing large amounts of data and ability to develop reporting tools.

• Demonstrated excellence in Leadership, Initiative, Communication, Interpersonal, Judgment and Analytical skills.

• Legal entity reporting experience with basic accountable reporting structure.

• Must have a broad understanding of accounting processes and systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Full Time Employment

• Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 am. – 04:30 pm.

• Work location: Caterpillar (Thailand) Ltd. WHA Industrial Land, T.Nonglalok, A.Bankhai, Rayong

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
