CSMART is currently looking for a full-time Junior Instructor (Electrical) as part of the Operations Department.
Reporting to a Senior Instructor and indirectly to the Senior Manager – Technical, this role supports course delivery, preparation, and development, while focusing on current and emerging technologies, crew resource management, and company procedures achieved through training and simulations.
As a Junior Instructor (Electrical), your responsibilities, amongst others, will include:
- Coordinating with lead instructors to ensure classrooms, simulators, and materials are ready before courses start
- Assisting in delivering courses according to CSMART’s course delivery process and quality standards
- Supporting participant appraisal, certification, and follow-up processes
- Resetting equipment and reporting deficiencies after courses
- Completing post-course documentation and assisting with course reviews
- Contributing to course development initiatives as needed
- Taking ownership of professional development, including observing other courses and staying updated on technology and procedures
Requirements & Experience
- Minimum experience as 3rd ETO (or higher) in the cruise industry
- Cruise ship experience is preferred
- Experience in teaching/instructing would be an asset
- Fluent written and verbal English
Skills
- Knowledge of computers, networks, and MS Office 365
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well in a multi-cultural team
- Ability to work unassisted
