About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure uptime and reliability of production equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize PM plans based on equipment criticality and performance data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ) in coordination with Engineering and Quality.
  • Analyze downtime data and lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and DMAIC; implement corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Manage and coordinate external vendors and contractors for maintenance activities and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Maintain and update documentation: SOPs, work instructions and Maintenance logs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and equipment performance (OEE).
  • Support spare parts strategy, inventory control, and critical parts identification.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and support training as needed.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in maintenance engineering within manufacturing environments, preferably medical devices or regulated industries.
  • Advanced English (written and verbal).
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS), equipment reliability, and performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
  • Knowledge of GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (medical devices, pharma).
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems.
  • Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification (preferable).
  • Project management experience (preferable).
  • Experience supporting equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
