The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technician (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Nortel and Cisco CUCM, strong networking skills, and the ability to work in high-visibility, customer-facing environments. This role requires a solid understanding of VoIP technologies, basic networking, and Bix cable termination skills. The technician will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
System Configuration and Maintenance:

Configure and maintain Nortel/Avaya and Cisco VOIP phones.

Perform on-the-job training (OJT) for VoIP technicians as needed.

Ensure all telecommunications systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
Network and Cable Management:
-
Possess a solid understanding of basic networking principles.
-
Perform Bix cable termination and other cabling tasks as required.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.

Customer Support:
-
Provide high-level technical support in customer-facing environments.
-
Ensure excellent communication with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate documentation of all configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

Generate reports as needed for management and compliance purposes.
Security and Compliance:
-
Adhere to all security protocols and procedures associated with TS/SCI clearance.

Ensure all telecommunications activities comply with organizational and government regulations.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
5-7 years of comprehensive experience with Nortel and Cisco CUCM.
Skills and Attributes:
-
Comfortable working in high-visibility and customer-facing environments.
-
Strong communications skills.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).

Experience with classified and unclassified Internet (IP) preferred.

Certifications:
-
Nortel / Avaya Certification required.

Security+ Certified.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$49,900 - $100,000
