Builder.io is looking to add an accomplished Sales Engineer to our team to help enterprises unlock the full value of AI-powered development. Builder.io is redefining how engineering teams build — giving developers and non-developers alike the ability to create, iterate, and ship production-ready applications through AI. You will partner with Account Executives to engage with engineering leaders, architects, and developers in a consultative sales process: understanding their technical environment, demonstrating tangible business value, running hands-on proof of value engagements, and closing business.

As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Builder.io, you will...

  • Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, CTOs, and developer teams — serving as their trusted technical advisor throughout the evaluation and purchasing process

  • Lead technical discovery, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and guide prospects through hands-on proof of value engagements inside their real development environments

  • Advise customers on how to integrate AI-powered development into their development workflows — identifying the highest-value use cases, recommending adoption patterns, and helping cross-departmental teams understand how Builder.io can change the way they build

  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and workshops tailored to both business stakeholders and highly technical audiences

  • Serve as the first line of defense for security and compliance questions, guiding customers to relevant resources and escalating complex requirements to the appropriate teams

  • Create and maintain internal documentation, demo guides, and enablement resources that capture common customer requirements and accelerate the team's ability to execute

  • Act as the internal voice of the customer — gathering feedback from the field, identifying common themes across enterprise accounts, and partnering with Product and Engineering to continuously improve the Builder.io platform and messaging

  • As an early-stage hire, bring creativity and a spirit of experimentation to all that you do — we have a working playbook and we want you to help make it better

You will thrive in this role if you have...

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Solutions Consultant, or similar)

  • At least 3+ years selling to Enterprise customers and managing senior technical and business relationships

  • Hands-on fluency with AI tooling and the modern software development lifecycle — you don't need to be a full-time engineer, but you should be comfortable working in technical environments, understanding developer workflows, and advising on AI adoption strategies

  • Experience building with or selling developer tools, AI-powered coding platforms, or technical platform products to engineering organizations

  • Proficiency with modern development methodologies and frameworks (APIs, JavaScript, React, JSON) and the ability to build working prototypes or demos to validate use cases

  • Strong executive presence — equally comfortable coding alongside developers as you are presenting to a CTO or VP of Engineering

  • A track record of running structured POV processes: establishing clear goals and success criteria, working hands-on inside customer environments, and driving toward measurable outcomes

  • Foundational understanding of IT security principles and experience supporting enterprise security and compliance requirements in a pre-sales context

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for any audience

  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment

  • Able to travel up to 25%

The items above are a starting point for a conversation, not a hard list of requirements. If this role excites you, we hope you will apply!

The total compensation range for this role is $220,000 - $260,000 USD OTE (on-target earnings), consisting of base salary and on-target commission. This role is also eligible for meaningful company equity and benefits.
This position is fully remote and open to candidates in multiple locations. Compensation may vary by country and local market and will be discussed early in the interview process. Final offer amounts are determined based on experience, role-related knowledge, skills, and abilities.

About Builder.io:

Builder.io is pioneering the space between design and development, creating a new category of Visual Development Platform that transforms how teams build digital products.

Our Visual Copilot technology bridges the gap between Figma designs and production code, enabling teams to build interactive features using natural language while working with their actual code, data, and APIs. Alongside our code generation capabilities, our CMS empowers organizations to skip code generation altogether and publish updates to any live site or app in a couple clicks.

Trusted by leading mid-market to enterprise-level companies like JCrew, Vimeo, and Anheuser Busch, we're focused on eliminating the traditional bottlenecks between design, development, and content management.

Builder.io is committed to growing an inclusive and diverse team. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran, genetic information, marital status or any other legally protected status.

Seeking UX/UI Guidance from an entry level designer who can't land a job

I have been searching for a role during my master's degree (Fall 2025) to date, and I have not been able to land one. I have no trouble getting an internship, but landing a job in UX/UI dodges me like a cat dodging water. I tried applying with purpose, tailoring my resume, updating my portfolio, and attempting cold calls, but nothing is sticking. I even went through 4 rounds of interviews and still got ghosted. I have more rejections in my email than spam. Entry-level roles are hard to come acro

I made a Damage calculator and Team Builder iOS App

Hi! I’ve been working on a damage calculator app for iOS that’s a bit easier to use on mobile devices. With the upcoming release of Champions on mobile, this could be a useful tool. It works completely offline and is currently based on Pokémon Generation 9, featuring mechanics from previous games, Z-Moves, Dynamax, and Mega Evolutions. In addition to the calculator, I’ve included other tools: \-Access to Pokémon data, moves, and abilities \-Access to Smogon's Pokémon usage statistics \-A team

Free headless CMS for Shopify Hydrogen using Metaobjects (no Sanity, no Contentful, no Builder.io)

Every Hydrogen tutorial eventually says the same thing: *"Now add a headless CMS for content management."* Sanity: $99/month. Contentful: $300/month. Builder.io: $99/month. You haven't made a single sale yet and you're already paying for infrastructure. **There's a better way: Metaobjects.** Metaobjects are Shopify's native custom data type. Free, built-in, managed in the same admin where you manage products. No extra API keys, no third-party service, no monthly bill. I built a complete Hy
