The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting business development activities across the Branded Marketer (BM) business in all four regions. A core component of the role is leading, growing, and maintaining an existing portfolio of small to mid‑sized Branded Marketer customers.

The role also serves as a key liaison between the Branded Marketer team and cross‑functional partners (e.g., Finance, Marketing, ST&S) that support the branded business. The Business Development Associate works closely with Business Development Managers and Branded Marketer leadership to support strategic initiatives, including account and territory planning, economic modelling, and other value‑creation projects.

This position is an entry‑level role within the Branded Marketer organization and is intentionally designed as a developmental role. Successful incumbents will build the commercial, analytical, and cross‑functional capabilities required to progress into a Business Development Manager role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all aspects of customer relationships
  • Develop new / maintain existing business
  • Manage bp’s financial risk
  • Grow volume and margin
  • Build mutually beneficial account plans / complete account reviews that drive growth
  • Sell Marketing programs to reinforce brand equity
  • Accurately manage opportunity pipeline in Sales Force
  • Participate in customer engagement meetings (tradeshows, association meetings, etc.)
  • Market Analysis
  • Stay aware of competitive activities
  • Support BDM and BM Leadership on strategic projects
  • Work closely with key cross-functional partners
  • Ability to influence both internally and externally

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience

  • 2+ years of front-line sales and or customer facing experience required.
  • Knowledge of distributor business and B2B relationship management.
  • 2+ years in functional relationship management roles including dealing with senior management.

How much do we pay (Base)? (80,000 - 125,0000 (Minimum & Maximum)) Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for US Benefits Select. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
