Local Security Governance and Investigation Expert Africa at Bosch

Robert Bosch (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Local Security Governance and Investigation Expert for the Africa Region who can ensure the overall governance of the Physical Security Management System (PSMS) at Bosch sites in the region. Conduct investigations in case of criminal acts on Bosch sites in the region, duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Driving Physical Security Management System at local level within the framework of C/AUP governance on legal conditions (incl. site security process & consulting of local management)

• Analysis of local physical security situation and necessary risk mitigation measures based on C/AUP Central Directives and input by local management / stakeholders.
• Coordination and Driving of the overall Physical Security Management System at locations in AF; risk management process, definition of necessary measures, monitoring and consulting
• Cooperate with relevant stakeholders at the plant; create communication and awareness activities at locations in AF.
• Analysis of changes in local security risk situation and real incident situation (incl. int./ext. crime reporting, exchange with local authorities / network)
• Adaptation of Physical Security Management System strategy and risk assessment at locations in AF

2. Monitoring of adequate implementation of local risk mitigation measures (incl. Security services)

• Analysis of relevant local risk mitigation measures (Who, What, till when, root cause, accepted risk level etc.)
• Running risk based spot-checks (incl. consulting & training); support & consulting of local managers and service providers
• Assessment of effectiveness of the security measures, to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements (AF law and legislation)
• Analysis of overall maturity of local Physical Security Management System, identifying major root causes for existent gaps, check the overall implementation of local risk mitigation measures and the competences of local security organization
• Define risk-based and prioritized measures for improvement
• Escalation of topics to site management, regional, business or C/AUP level, if necessary

3. Conducting Security investigations at local level & support Compliance investigations on request

• Implementation of the C/AUP investigation process, taking relevant regional, business-related or local topics into account
• Responsible for, coordination and running of security investigations at local level. Obligation to inform and support business/regional security manager about any relevant security incident
• Supporting of compliance investigations (on request by C/CM or C/AUP1); cooperate with legal and HR department
• Check maturity of processes and possible room for improvement with support of respective departments
• Align with process owners lessons learned to prevent similar attacks in future

Education

• Bachelor for protection and security or similar security qualification.

Experience

• At least five years practical experience in security management / relevant security experience gained in similar environment.
• Preferable practical experience in procedure of investigations
• No Security-related (negative) entry in official clearance certificates (police, authorities)
• Readiness to travel.
• Local Language and at least B1-level in English language.
