Business Development Manager – Victoria / South Australia at Bosch

Bosch is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (End-to-End) to cover the Victorian and South Australian regions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced, connected solutions selling guru to make a meaningful impact in robotics, automation, and manufacturing solutions. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based at our Clayton headquarters. The role will require regular regional and domestic travel, and occasional international travel.
What You’ll Do
As the Business Development Manager, you will:
- Drive Business Growth:
Proactively identify, engage and secure new business opportunities with existing and potential customers in robotics, automation and manufacturing solutions.
- Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers (OEMs, manufacturers, end users), understanding their commercial and technical requirements and providing tailored solution proposals.
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership:
Manage the end-to-end sales and acquisition process — lead generation, inquiry handling, support proposal and quotation preparation, negotiation, close and post-sale follow-up.
- Marketing & Promotion Activities:
Coordinate marketing, advertising and promotional activities across region; representing Bosch/BAMS at trade events, exhibitions and conferences.
- Market & Technical Insight:
Perform market analysis and bench-marking to keep BAMS offerings competitive; align technical proposals with customer needs.
- Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with BAMS engineering, consulting, project and support teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction; update CRM regularly with customer interactions and sales activities.
- Cross-Sell & Up-sell:
Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell additional services or products to existing customers; contribute to year-on-year incremental growth.

- Proven sales experience in industrial automation, manufacturing integration or similar capital equipment sales environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of bespoke machinery, robotics or factory automation systems and solutions.
- Excellent commercial and ideally technical acumen with ability to interpret technical drawings / documents.
- Demonstrated track record of business development and achieving sales targets in B2B or industrial markets.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, including senior decision makers.
- Strong organisational and self-management skills: able to manage a broad sales territory, maintain records, track performance and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly across the region (and occasionally interstate / overseas).
- Current and valid Australian driver’s license.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce desirable).
