About the role
What you will do
As a Motorsport Engineering Intern within the Bosch Motorsport team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead one development project based on needs of team while aligning with interests of student
- Support additional internal development projects with guidance from teammates
- Create and monitor timelines to ensure on-time deliveries
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to own project work
- Apply continuous improvement practices into work to improve performance, timing, cost, and quality
- Adhere to applicable processes to ensure expected high product quality and safety
You will work with an assigned mentor to support work prioritization, continuous learning, and motorsport career development.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a BS in Engineering or Computer Science with minimum six semesters completed
- 1+ years of hands-on motorsport experience with vehicle, ICE and/or hybrid controls (i.e. industry, FSAE, EcoCAR)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be 18 years or older, and eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with programming and scripting (i.e. C, C#, Python)
- Experience with modeling and simulation (i.e. Matlab/Simulink)
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Ethernet)
- Experience with test tools (i.e. Vector tools, dSPACE products, oscilloscopes)
- Ability to comprehend electrical schematics to debug software and electrical issues
- Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking and creative problem solving
- Demonstrated ability in being responsible for own work products while working independently
- Passion for learning new skills and applying to motorsport projects with aggressive timing
- Alignment to team culture of passion and performance, entrepreneurialism and innovation, communication, and balance
