Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS)is seeking associate & mid-level and experienced engineers to join the Strategic Deterrence Systems Team located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.  The team provides design engineering services to maintain the **Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Weapon System **to include new design, integration, and sustainment of existing designs. The subsystems include propulsion, guidance, ground systems, and other major subsystems of the ICBM Weapon System. The selected candidate will work with a highly skilled and knowledgeable team in a great team environment. The candidate will be mentored in areas of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • New design, integration, test, and sustainment of mechanical systems.

  • Systems requirements analysis and development including the ability to develop and document mechanical, electronic/electrical, and other system requirements

  • Test planning, assessment, and reporting (testing includes Aging Surveillance, flight test, failure investigations, etc.)

  • Develop and review engineering drawings and models to support product design using CATIA, NX and Autodesk software.

  • Support design configuration control using Product Life Management systems (i.e. Smar Team, 3DX, and Teamcenter.

  • Develop cable designs and routing for integration into complex assemblies.

  • Failure analysis of hardware and associated test equipment.

  • Ability to generate briefings and present briefings to internal and external customers

  • Technical writing skills to include generating plans, procedures, memorandums, reports, technical orders, drawings, etc.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

This position requires a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer

  • Associate (Level 2): 2 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience (e.g. Master7 years' related work experience, PhD4 years' related work experience)

  • Mid-career (Level 3): 5 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience* (e.g. Master12 years' related work experience, PhD9 years' related work experience)*

  • Experience working both independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start is preferred but not required

  • Experience applying engineering processes and principles

  • Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation

  • Experience modeling and simulation

  • Experience utilizing engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, etc.

  • Experience utilizing Product Life Management systems (i.e. Smar Team, 3DX, and Teamcenter)

  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering/Model-Based Systems Engineering

  • Experience with failure analysis of hardware, test equipment, or other complex systems

  • Experience integrating complex system into existing large assemblies

  • Experience designing cables and routing thru complex assemblies.
