SENIOR ASSOCIATE, FUND/CLIENT ACCOUNTING

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Alternative Operations team team. This role is located in Dublin.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
- Perform complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving service improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes, and specialist review functions.
- Provide input into methodologies and review the work of team members with less experience.
- Offer guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations involving complex accounts or transactions. Resolve reconciliation of accounts for more complex or atypical transactions and review work of less experienced team members.
- Draft reports for clients regarding the performance of complex funds and review draft reports completed by less experienced staff.
- Regularly interact with clients to answer questions and resolve issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
- Assist in evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY fund accounting practices.
- Contribute to the achievement of related team objectives.
- May have people management responsibilities in some geographies; no direct reports required.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
- Private Equity/ Credit experience required.
