Vice President, Senior Copywriter

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Senior Copywriter at BNY Investments to join our North American Marketing team. This role will be based in Boston.
In this role, you’ll be integral to crafting the copy development process across the BNY Investments platform. You’ll also shape the messaging, tone, and storytelling that bring BNY Investments’ capabilities and value propositions to life. The ideal candidate must possess deep financial services experience, a strong command of integrated marketing communications and a real talent for turning complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Copy Development & Strategy: Lead creation and refinement of copy for platform marketing materials, including one-pagers, web content, social assets, emails and event collateral.
- Brand & Tone Consistency: Act as the “voice of clarity”—ensuring messaging is consistent, jargon-free and aligned with the firm’s clear language standards.
- Collaboration & QA: Partner with designers, digital asset managers and marketing leads to review and QA hundreds of content assets for alignment in tone, structure and visual presentation.
- Process & Governance: Help establish copywriting workflows, approval processes and AI-supported structures for ongoing consistency and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to evolve messaging frameworks, value propositions and brand toolkits
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Strong organizational skills along with the ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Strong command of investment topics as well as a keen sense of business and sales priorities.
- Comfortable writing in both a retail and professional tone with a strong financial services vocabulary.
- Strategic and creative thinker with extraordinary attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; build strong, positive relationships with key external and internal partners.
- Experience in investment writing, SEO optimization and creative content experience (such as infographics, video and audio) preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Workfront is beneficial.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
