Join the Strategic Transformation Platform team within Global Investment Operations (GIO) and help shape the future of operational alpha at Black Rock. Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge technology and reengineer processes that drive scalability, efficiency, and innovation across the globe. In this role, you’ll design intelligent, exception-based workflows that empower operations teams worldwide, partnering closely with business users to create service-oriented solutions across key areas—Portfolio & Documentation Solutions, Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, Cash & Asset Operations, Client Order Management and Securities Lending. As a strategic enabler, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning processes, optimizing scale, and fostering innovation across our platform ecosystem. Responsibilities

Solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment, with a focus on process optimization, data, & technology

Provide key insights to Senior Management on business outcomes by creating transparency and providing insights through the development of data dashboards using tools such as Power BI
-
Establish centralized governance for strategic initiatives with clear prioritization, complete and consistent business requirements aligned to GIO standards, and transparent decision-making on priorities and progress

Work closely with users, designers, developers, and product managers to translate creative builds into working prototypes

Partner with the Aladdin Product team to prioritize initiatives across Aladdin to achieve product strategy and work with Aladdin Engineering teams to deliver against the technology roadmap

Support the prioritization of the backlog and work with the Aladdin Product team to mitigate development blockers

Release coordination with Aladdin Engineering to ensure smooth testing and release of all relevant technologies, including performing ad hoc testing as the situation arises

Understand the business you support and collaborate with users to design and deliver innovative solutions, while gaining deep knowledge of end-to-end Aladdin processes to identify opportunities for product evolution

Ensure every decision and priority is in line with GIO vision of removing manual touch and is reviewed horizontally across GIO

Operating in an agile environment with transparency, diversity, and forward-thinking participation at every level

Solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment, with a focus on process optimization, data, & technology

Expand the commercial value of the platform by building broad, cross-functional integrated, intelligent workflow into the Aladdin operational platform

Lead in the industry to create new operating models, disrupting legacy infrastructure & embracing emerging technologies to redefine post trade

Deepen ecosystem integration by selectively partnering with strategic vendor technology to scale and commercialize the Aladdin platform in our investment operation
Experience and Skills
-
BA/BS in from an accredited university preferred, or equivalent business experience
-
Tech-literate, with experience with, or willingness to learn programing languages such as Python and SQL
-
Experience in, or knowledge of Financial Services Post Trade lifecycle a plus
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and functions
-
Ability to translate complex business problems into practical, solution-oriented technical designs

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical
-
Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of the deliveries in a fast-paced environment
-
Ability to work independently as a self-starter while effectively collaborating with teams across geographies
-
Be curious and flexible, pay keen attention to detail, use critical thinking and drive innovation

Experience with business Data Analysis and knowledge of tools such as Power BI
-
Deep knowledge of Black Rock’s Aladdin Enterprise Platform highly desired

Our hybrid work model
Black Rock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
