The Total Energies Strategic Account Leader will be the enterprise partner and primary point of contact for Total Energies executives and key stakeholders. The responsibility will be driving customer satisfaction, deepening executive relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and exceptional relationship management skills.
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
Customer Experience & Engagement
- Own and elevate the overall customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Lead C-suite engagement strategies to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
- Map and manage enterprise account engagement to ensure alignment with customer priorities.
- Drive proactive customer executive engagement through structured operating rhythms.
Strategic Account Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive Enterprise Account Plans aligned with customer goals and business outcomes.
- Co-lead strategic initiatives that drive mutual value and innovation.
- Define and implement horizontal tender and project strategies to support long-term growth.
- Structure and drive enterprise deals to support profitable growth.
Operational Excellence
- Leverage comprehensive understanding of Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream business segments to drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making across the energy value chain.
- Maintain and manage an internal operating calendar to ensure cross-functional alignment and timely execution.
- Support high-severity escalations, ensuring swift resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee billing and collections escalations, working closely with finance and operations teams.
Growth & Innovation
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives that align with market trends and customer needs.
- Facilitate customer investment in emerging technologies and innovation roadmaps.
- Lead the planning and execution of annual strategic meetings with key stakeholders.
Scope & Impact
- Geographic Scope: Global
- Team Leadership: No direct reports but must influence and lead segments’ Key account teams, sales and commercial leaders, executives and ELT members across enterprise and business segments.
- Budget Responsibility: Strategic budget oversight for sector initiatives
- Decision-Making Authority: High — responsible for prioritization and strategic direction for Total Energies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: C-level, Executive leadership, business unit heads, strategy, marketing, and product teams.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, sector development, or business leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining trusted relationships with C-suite executives across diverse organizational functions, including key stakeholders at Total.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sector strategies in a global enterprise
- Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at the executive level.
- Advanced degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- French and English languages - fluent
